During Film Studies I learnt how to analyse films and understand cinema terms:

• Understanding how different aspects of the films cinematography can affect storytelling, allowing myself to subconsciously analyse different medias that use cinematography to create deeper meanings such as in storytelling games like The Last of Us and Red Dead Redemption 2.
• Learnt cinematographic terms relating specifically to the mise en scene, proxemics, different styles of lighting and audio, understanding these affects the films aesthetic and how it can be perceived.
• Experimented with my own short films that I have made which had been set to a brief, working in the styles of the films that we had been studying.
• Analysed some of the most popular film genres diving deeper into their cultural, political and social contexts allowing me to understand films from an active spectatorship.
